Upright meaning
A hand offers a living wand: the Ace of Wands is the raw spark before anything has a name. Expect a new impulse, an idea with heat in it, a chance to begin something genuinely yours. This card favors starting over perfecting: sketch the first version, send the first message, book the first session. The spark asks for fuel, attention, and some protection from your own second thoughts. Not every fire catches, but nothing catches without the strike. Say yes to what lights you up, and feed it while it is small.
Reversed meaning
Reversed, the spark struggles to catch. The idea is real but ignition keeps failing: delays, deflations, enthusiasm gone by Thursday. Notice whether the impulse was ever yours or borrowed from someone else's fire, and release the borrowed ones without guilt. Sometimes the timing is off rather than the idea; resting a project is not abandoning it. Protect the ember with small, unglamorous acts, ten minutes a day, one saved note, and starve the distractions smothering it. A clouded joy is still joy. Keep the match dry.
