East Almanac

Use with your AI agent

If you live in a terminal AI agent — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, ZCode, or any of 75+ others — the free open-source EastAlmanac skill turns it into a fortune-telling assistant. Ask in plain language; your agent opens the matching tool page here, you complete the interactive ritual, and one click sends the result back for the full reading.

How the loop works

  1. 1

    Ask in your terminal

Type the question the way you'd say it — "How is my career looking this year?" or "Should I take this job offer?" No menus, no forms; the skill picks the right tool.

  2. 2

Complete the ritual in the browser

Your agent opens the matching East Almanac page: draw the hexagram strokes, pick tarot cards, or verify the birth chart — the parts that deserve a real canvas.

  3. 3

The reading returns to your terminal

One click on "⚡ Sync to Agent" posts the structured result to your agent, which continues with a full two-layer reading — chart facts inside, a plain-language conclusion outside.

Prefer manual? Clone the repository and copy the skill into your client's skills folder — the README covers Claude Code, ZCode, Claude Desktop, and more, plus the security model of the local bridge.

Free, open source, zero backend

MIT-licensed — no API keys, no accounts, no quotas. The only local code is a ~180-line pure-standard-library Python bridge, and every calculation (BaZi, I Ching, Western astrology) runs client-side in your browser.
