Upright meaning
Seven cups float in a vision-cloud, each holding a different treasure. The Seven of Cups is abundance of imagination with a shortage of gravity: many options, many daydreams, several genuinely magical, most of them vapor. This card honors the visions, fantasy is how desire scouts ahead, and then asks the filtering question: which of these can bear your actual weight? Write them down, test them against your real life, and let the majority dissolve without regret. Beware the beautiful option that requires no work; that is the tell. One choice made soberly outranks seven held in fog.
Reversed meaning
Reversed, the fog thins. The menu narrows, by decision or by circumstance, and what remains is legible: this is what I actually want. This position favors the sober choice, the plan with numbers in it, the vision that survives contact with a Tuesday. It can also mark the end of self-deception, admitting which cup was never yours, and the mild grief honesty charges. Let the dissolving options go with thanks rather than funerals. Determination replaces daydream well here, and direction is the upgrade desire has been asking for. Want one thing at a time; that is the whole discipline.
