Upright meaning
A knight and horse come at you at full gallop, sword lowered. The Knight of Swords is conviction at speed: the argument made without hedging, the decision executed mid-air, the campaign against the obstacle everyone else walked around. This card favors bold, timely action when windows are brief and deliberation is the greater risk. Its physics are unforgiving, momentum without map crashes spectacularly, so spend thirty of the available seconds confirming direction. Watch the tone as well as the point; being right at full volume rarely converts the room. Charge the problem, not the people.
Reversed meaning
Reversed, the gallop ends in a ditch. Energy without steering: bridges burned for speed, tempers as tactics, the crash always in the trajectory finally arriving. This position asks what the hurry was defending, urgency is fear wearing spurs, and whether the enemy ahead was ever as large as the one behind. If you have already collided, the card prescribes repair over rerun, apologize specifically, learn braking distance. If someone else is charging at you, step aside rather than match speed; let momentum spend itself. Right cause, wrong pace, is still the wrong pace. Dismount, look at the map, then ride.
