Zhouyi BenyiLine statement
Mò is pronounced mù. Nine in the Second Place meets the time of Breakthrough; being firm yet dwelling in yielding, and possessing the middle way, it can be vigilant and cry out in self-preparedness; thus even if there are weapons in the dark of night, there is no cause for worry.
Kuí is pronounced qiú-guī; kuí means the cheekbones. Nine in the Third Place meets the time of Breakthrough; being firm and exceeding the center, it seeks to eliminate the petty person with firm vigor showing on its very face; acting like this leads to misfortune.
Yet among the multitude of yang lines, it alone responds to Six at the Top.
If it can resolutely execute its breakthrough without being bound by private affection, then although it joins with Six at the Top—like walking alone and encountering rain, getting soaked and incurring the displeasure of noble persons—in the end it will surely purge the petty person and remain free from blame.
The affair of Wen Qiao regarding Wang Dun resembles this.
