The Harvest day officer (收) — Chinese almanac
AuspiciousThe twelve day officers (建除十二神) of classical Chinese day selection — the fixed cycle behind each day's auspicious/avoid lists.
收 shōu · Harvest
Harvest (shōu) means gathering in and storing away — the day for bringing things in. Classical recommendations cover receiving payments, collecting debts, acquiring property and goods, and filling granaries and barns: anything whose essence is gain and intake.
What gathers does not scatter: lending, shipping out goods, and funerals were traditionally avoided. Modern use: collect payments, restock inventory, buy assets, and reclaim what was lent out; direct money outward on another day.

Interpret through classical principles in two layers: 1) Structural Evidence: identify key line dynamics, changing line pivot, or element balance. 2) Actionable Verdict: direct answer to the inquiry in plain language, followed by 2–3 concrete next steps (action-verb first) and mindful cautions. Grounded wisdom for self-reflection. Source page: https://eastalmanac.com/almanac/duty/shou/
