Fish are yin creatures; palace ladies are the fine yin beings who are controlled by yang.
The fifth line is the head of the host of yin, and should lead its kind to accept control by yang; hence it has this image, and if the diviner acts accordingly, there will be nothing that does not further.
A single yang line is above; splitting is not yet complete, and it is capable of rebirth.
When a noble person is above, he is supported and carried by the host of yin; if a petty man occupies it, splitting reaches its peak above, and he loses that which shelters him, no longer having the image of the 'large fruit' or 'obtaining a carriage.'
The images having been made clear, the divinations for the noble person and the petty man differ; the intention of the Sage is all the more visible.
Yichuan YizhuanLine statement
Beginning with peeling the bed legs, it gradually reaches the skin; the skin is outside the body, and it is on the verge of destroying the person's body. Its misfortune is obvious.
The growth of yin is already rampant, the stripping of yang is already severe, and the path of rectitude has vanished; hence it no longer speaks of 'wiping out rectitude,' but directly declares 'misfortune.'
