How dates are graded
The event is mapped onto the almanac vocabulary: a wedding matches 嫁娶 recommends, a move matches 移徙/入宅, an opening matches 开市. A day scores +3 when a core term sits in its 宜 list, −4 when it sits in 忌; favorable day officers (e.g. 成, 开) and Yellow Path stars add, their opposites subtract. Grades: best ≥ 5, good ≥ 3, fair ≥ 1 net score; everything below is left off the list.
Every day branch opposes (冲) the zodiac animal six steps away in the cycle. Give your birth year and the days that clash your own animal are flagged — traditionally a caution worth weighing even on an otherwise strong day.
Business opening: 宜 opening a business · hanging a signboard / trading / signing contracts / receiving payments / seeking wealth / consecrating objects / holding worship · Day officer: Open
